Kyungbok University's Lifelong Education College proudly announced its selection by the National Institute for Lifelong Education Promotion as an authorized provider for the Lifelong Education Voucher program, effective June 28.

The Lifelong Education Voucher is a government initiative crafted to empower learners to independently choose educational opportunities that align with their individual circumstances and backgrounds. Introduced in 2018 by the National Institute for Lifelong Education Promotion, this program seeks to foster continuous skill development through lifelong learning for adults.

This voucher program not only underscores the value of learning for institutions but also brings the joy of education to learners. It allows individuals to choose courses for personal development and skill enhancement, with the added benefit of offering online courses that remove barriers of time and location.

Because Kyungbok University now recognized as an eligible provider, students can access financial support for tuition and materials at the university's Lifelong Education College. Kyungbok University's Lifelong Education College currently offers a wide range of educational programs designed to meet diverse learner needs. These include ▲ Employment Competency Enhancement Training, ▲ Caregiver Certification Course, ▲ Home Health Aide Certification Course, and ▲ Ultralight Aircraft (Drone) National Qualification Training. According to data from the Ministry of Education, Kyungbok University has achieved the highest employment rates among metropolitan universities (with over 2,000 graduates) for six consecutive years from 2017 to 2022, and it has maintained the top national employment rate for three years. The university was also selected for the Ministry of Education's Link 3.0 project in 2022 and has been recognized as an internationalization-certified university for five consecutive years (2019-2023).

In response to the evolving landscape of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Kyungbok University has embarked on significant curriculum reforms. Beginning in the first semester of the 2025 academic year, the university will introduce new programs in Media Convergence and Beauty Studies. Furthermore, it operates 108 practical training spaces across seven departments, emphasizing the development of industry-ready talent. In January, the university completed its second dormitory (Sungnyeowon), which can accommodate up to 637 students.

Looking ahead, Kyungbok University will hold its first round of early admissions for the 2025 academic year from September 9 to October 2, followed by a second round from November 8 to November 22.
